Who Wins: Manny Pacquiao vs. Canelo Alvarez

the fight can happen at 154 lbs that is if alvarez is not willing to go down though i'm not so sure it's a good idea for pacquiao to go beyond 150 lbs since he himself said that the worst punishment he's ever had to take was during the margarito fight who came in weighing 165 (4 more lbs and margarito would weigh as a super middleweight).pacquiao has always fought bigger opponents his entire boxing career and ultimately won in very convincing fashion.

the most weight pacquiao can naturally gain is about 148-150 without sacrificing speed or power.

canelo has killer body shots but pacquiao's footspeed should be able to nullify most of it. i see the fight with alvarez to be a very cagey. as the fight goes on, and if pacquiao is still able to throw an average of 100 punches per round, then alvarez has no chance but to get bullied by pacquiao and might either end with a TKO in pacquiao's favor or in a form of a UD. though this fight may never happen, namely because the two fighter are under rival promoters, there is still hope.

      With catch weight? Manny

Without, if Canelo can find Manny, Canelo by KO.

He's too scared to fight Cotto at 154 even though he's beaten him once already. What makes you think he will fight Canelo?

There is a reason why Pac asks for catchweights and refuses to fight at 154 lbs. Canelo would hurt him bad. Hell, I believe in Pac, but him not believing in him self is why I pic Alvarez.

Canelo by murder. Too big, too patient, hits too hard, etc.

I dont see manny being able to hurt Canelo, and i see canelos punching power, especiialy in body punches, really getting to manny. Manny still needs to prove that he can fight a full round, and a full fight imo.

Canelo stops him with a body shot... Pacquiao isn't hard to hit

Pacquiao would win if it goes the distance, I just can't see it going the distance

If Pacquiao has his usual advantages like the weight draining talent he and Roach use, he probably pummels a weak/zombie Canelo.

I won't be quick to say that at the full 154 Canelo wins, he's still very young and probably loses to Pacquiao even at 154 but he doesn't get humiliated and probably gives a good account of himself. Most likely gives a gutsy performance where his haters will give him props.

No he didn't, if he did then he's a liar.

All he said was that he was hurt by a body punch and he almost went down. Not that the fight was the worst punishment he's taken.

Sad excuse. Mayweather can't make 154 either, both of his fights there he came in at 150-151. That didn't stop him from fighting there or implementing a catchweight on his opponents.
