Comments Thread For: Future Title Fight At Stake In DeGale vs Zuniga Showdown

James DeGale MBE, the current European super middleweight champion will fight it out with former IBO world champion, Fulgencio Zúńiga for the WBC Silver Championship at the Sports Arena, Hull on Saturday 8th December.

DeGale vs. Zuniga will be broadcast live on Channel 5 from 9pm.

DeGale, ranked number 3 by the WBC said: “Zuniga is a big test for me as he’s only lost to world class opponents in Kelly Pavlik, Lucian Bute and Tavoris Cloud.

“More recently he went 12 rounds with the unbeaten highly world ranked South African, Thomas Oosthuizen, so it shows he is world class and a dangerous opponent.” [Click Here To Read More]

    Very risky opponent.

I can't see DeGale stopping him and Zuniga certainly has enough power to put DeGale away. Not to mention he leaks a lot of punches when he poses in that defence.

Credit for the fight being made but DeGale needs vast improvements.

Good fight. Zuniga is a solid test for DeGale.

I thought Degale going with Hennessey was a mistake but he seems to be coming through with decent fights for him and keeping him active.
I think degale by UD but a very hard fight
