Comments Thread For: Trout Not Concerned About Judges in Cotto Clash

Austin Trout is used to fighting in hostile enemy territory.

He's fought in Mexico several times against Mexican fighters. In his two title fights in Mexico, he defeated the hometown fighter by a wide unanimous decision.

The undefeated junior middleweight isn't shy when it comes to fighting on the road, so when he got the opportunity to defend against Miguel Cotto at the Garden in New York City, Trout didn't hesitate. Cotto routinely draws sell-out crowds at MSG and has become a fan favorite there. Though Cotto is from Puerto Rico, he might as well call the Garden home. After-all, it's the home of most of the best nights of Cotto's career.

I would be, a win by Trout would upset the friends of our little Red Headed friend. Golden Girl would not a have a big match for him as they have not even tried to get Martinez cause they know he gets KO'd. and the great suporter of single moms ( strippers) everywhere will be fighting Guerrero. That would Mean Canelito has to fight a true 154 pound contender, be afraid, be very afraid

if trout had legitimate competition it's not an issue, but he's never fought any1 close 2 an elite...in MX vs David Lopez/Rigo Alvarez, far from even being top 10. regardless of the weak WBA ratings...

Trout hasn't fought anyone remotely close to Cotto's class. He isn't aggressive enough, and he doesn't have high enough output to keep Cotto at bay. Cotto will be snagging that trinket this weekend.

Of course not he's an Al haymon fighter, Cotto's gotta win 8 round's to get a draw.

I like Austin Trout. Just don't think he'll beat a motivated Cotto. We'll all find out this weekend though!
