Austin Trout is a very good boxer. Southpaw with good defense and ring generalship. He isn't a very active boxer but he is very accurate and has decent thump in his punches. I really do like Miguel cotto and believe he can win this fight but it won't be easy we'll found out a lot about Austin when he starts feeling the pressure from cotto.

Which is going to kill him in this fight.

It's one thing to simply beat the man, but if it's not impressive or leaves a lasting affect on the crowd, you're stuck in Timothy Bradley land where nobody really cares what you accomplished and you still don't have the appeal for fans to want to see you again.

I'd like him to stand there and trade and fight with Cotto, but to do that and not use his expertise as a slick boxer would be ******, and invites the chance of getting caught a few times over.

Trout gets off balance after shots at times and he keeps his hands low sometimes. I don't think Trout can take a solid punch either, I see Cotto dropping him at some point. Once dropped, Trout goes into survival mode and is scared to engage with Cotto.

Wish they had a 24/7 on this guy..give us an inside look. Seems like a nice enough guy should be agreat fight. Should also indicate how much cotto has left in the tank.

Austin if you want to make a name for yourself then come out like a maniac against the short battered Cotto and put a tremendous beating on the little Cotto, Cotto needs beaten badly again to a bloody pulp.

Funny how you discredit his WBA 'regular" belt but you call him champ. People on here crack me up. They'll discredit you win or lose. There's only two scenario's to the Cotto haters.

Cotto wins: Trout was untested he only fought bums. Cotto still sucks.
Cotto loses: I knew Trout would win, Cotto is washed up.

Anyway, back to the topic. If Cotto wins and it's impressive, I think they'll make the Canelo fight. Perfect timing for Canelo being that Cotto looks like he's on his way out. They wouldn't dare put Canelo in with someone who's really dangerous, come on.

Seeing that video of May clowning on Cotto’s workout is even more exceptionally sweet after the fact knowing how Cotto smacked that jaw rather easily. This leads me to believe fully that Cotto is going to annihilate Trout! EZ work!
