Pac has weighed 144 and 148 in the ring before at the lower weights.

Also if people have a problem with Broner and Chavez they had damn well better have a problem with Donaire.

How is that alarming. Those guys are damned near 8 inches taller than those little guys.

Exactly. 17 pounds will show up more on a midget then on to a 6 plus foot guy.

This is something very unfortunate with boxing (and from what I understand also in MMA). It's definitely an advantage to weigh more than your opponent on fight night but it's definitely not a healthy practice to do so. While a legal practice the bigger issue is the brain trauma that can result of starving oneself and then going up to 12 rounds getting shots to the head.

Same day weigh-ins would benefit boxing. Then fighters would get away from putting so much emphasis on strength and size and instead focus on developing their craft.

There are very few grown men on earth that actually walk around at 122-130 pounds.

Broner for example weighed 148 pounds in his last fight at 135. Montiel rehydrated 15-17 pounds against Donaire at 118 pounds. Typical stuff.

It's a bit more alarming imo when it's the heavier weight classes. Like Pavlik blowing up damn near 20 pounds against Martinez, or Chavez doing the same thing in all of his fights.
THIS! IMO that's just straight unprofessional. I almost feel there should be a weight re-hydration restriction.... but that's probably too picky.
