Are the lower weight classes irrelevant?

It seems everyone cares about the Heavyweight division.

        this.

i think the cutoff point for american mainstream sports audience is 147 unless you are just a spectacular fighter that merits notice of the mainstream sports kinda like what pac did with his exciting style and kos.

        but yes,

mainstream american sports fans dont care about the lower weight classes.

No one talks about anything lower than 118 even on here, unless it's Viloria or H. Marquez or something.

no one, in America at least, really cares about the heavyweight division.

but 105, 108, 112 pounds no one really cares about either.

depends on the country though. Japan for example has big time stars in those small classes.

Completely agree. The cutoff for the American audience is definitely 147.

People in general don't enjoy watching grown men who's 5'3 112 pounds. 105, 108, 112 pounds. You have 12-13 year old kids who's bigger than those guys.
