I seriously doubt he even notices.
Ward is still 10,000x more famous than the average Joe.
Highly unlikely he can go anywhere in the Bay Area without being recognized. Saying that, he's rich and successful but doesn't need a security detail to go to the mall or hit the town with his family.
I doubt he aspires to be any more famous than he already is. Boxing is his job and he happens to be excellent at it. You don't seem him talking **** or trying to cause some controversy to get attention and up his fame like some other guys other there. Andre is good where he's at.Comment

I don't think there's an issue with promotor Goosen. After all he has provided Ward with top fights and all in his homecountry.
The issue is rather his boxingstyle that is not fanfriendly at all. I do believe that is about to change somewhat though. It was clear in the Dawson fight, that he sat down on his punches wanting to end the fight inside the distance. Furthermore he also seems to have cleaned up his act, so that he is not as dirty as he used to be. That should help as well.Comment

I'd say give it time, hes only been champ less than 2 years. Wider fanbases take longer to augment.Comment

Being a harworking welmannerd man dossent generate as much atension as being a anoying wangster.
And I dont buy the `borring style`argument, there are pelnty higly popular boxers that have a way more borring fighting style.
The sad truth is that if Ward got into some street brawls or spit floyd in the face, maybe even beat up some woman, he would sell twice the amounth of PPVComment
