Nope. Look at the facts. Paydays and splits for the Super 6 were all guaranteed beforehand so regardless of "popularity" Ward has made just as much money in the past couple years as guys like Froch, Kessler or Abraham. In fact he has probably made more than any of them because the Dawson fight likely netted him as much or more than anyone else has made.

I remember the Brits being all about the "payday means everything" when it came to David Haye. I think Ward is satisfied with being the highest paid fighter at his weight and being universally recognized as the best fighter at his weight at this point in his career.

Mayweather was already a well established champion before he started making serious money. Ward doesn't have that kind of upside $$$-wise but who is to say where his career will go from here and how he will evolve as a fighter. I thought the Dawson fight was a great performance and if he continues to move in that direction his fanbase will grow and grow.
