How can people call Cotto a bum

He's the Man behind Mayweather and Pacquiao career wise.He's just that third man before most guys. I could make an exception for Martinez obviously.So if they ever meet it comes down to that fight.Bum is far fetched when you've been in wars and still willing to take on the best not to mention anybody.

I'd say Miguel was competitive against Floyd, but he got pummeled by Manny. It got scary just before the stoppage.

Cotto isn't an ATG, but he'll probably make the HOF. Miguel is a warrior who beat a lot of quality fighters and whose only undisputed losses were to the very best. (I don't know if Margarito cheated, but that outcome will forever be in question.)

Cotto is one of the most hated guys on these boards, so he's knocked at every turn. The moment I hear the word "bum", or anything like it, to describe Miguel, I lose regard for whatever else the poster has to say about him. Hate the man if you will, but at least be objective about him as a fighter.

He fought to survive for the second half of the fight but breaking a guys ear while surviving is no joke. I think in a rematch he would adjust and give a better fight, even if he ends up losing anyway.

I still chuckle when ppl bring up the vacant belt excuse as some sort of remedy downgrading loophole.He's won his titles and his defended them well.I GUARANTEE most of these posters haven't even seen Cotto's early days and probably after his first loss.

none of them make me think cotto is a hall of famer. hall of fame fighters are guys like mayweather, pacquiao, morales barrera etc, cotto isnt on that kind of level imo.
