A very entertaining high-action inside fight with some fantastic rounds, but Berto's post-fight comments blaming the referee for everything were not very sportsmanlike. The ref actually did a pretty decent job, separating them at the right moments, admonishing both fighters for clinching, low blows, rabbit punches, etc. Berto lost because Guerrero was able to hurt his eye in the second round then impose his mauling gameplan from thereon in. There's nothing the ref could have done about it, and I thought Berto came off as a sore loser, IMO.
Berto's post-fight comments put a damper on the evening

i dont know wtf berto and kellerman where talking about.
berto was the one holding robert's right hand all night, hitting behind the head all night, and face guarding all night.
im glad robert answered back when berto started going off on his list of excuses. -
Youre a clown if you think the ref did a decent job.
Brb, hold back of bertos head and clock him 4 times for the knockdown....
Brb, warn berto when guerrero would turn his head on the inside when berto was punching...
Brb, letting guerrero go hog wild long after the final bell...
You either let them fight on the inside, or you dont. Take points awayy, or shut the f up and let them fight. Granted the ref did warn guerrero tlat times aswell, but what the *** was the point to getting in the way?Last edited by ~AK49~; 11-25-2012, 12:08 AM.Comment

It was that f-cking idiot Kellerman who set him up for it. I know Berto was all ready to complain any way but when you start an interview like that, a fighter is gonna take it and run.Comment

Max Kellerman is always very biased in favor of Al Haymon's fighters.
His agenda was obvious when he set Berto up to talk like that.Comment
