I'm already hearing posters say Floyd Mayweather won't fight Guerrero? Maybe because of money and Guerrero not being a big enough name but because Floyd is scared or Guerrero is a threat? No way. Good win for Guerrero but Berto ain't no Mayweather. I used to think 4 years ago that Berto was the next top skilled fighter but I guess that was who he was fighting. That's why it is important for promoters to get these young guys in the ring with the tough comp early to allow them to learn and improve, win or lose.

It's the reach advantage..take a look at the list of fighters Floyd has faced..hes rarely been at a reach disadvantage..that's where it stems from

I'm shocked the Guerrero won. I mean, he came up! to 147. But from what i hear, he was the one doin the bullying. Berto deserved to lose if he let the lil guy outhustle him.

Called it in another thread before the fight, Ghost by UD.

Berto is a bum, he was a protected fighter until he fought Ortiz and got exposed. Since then its been all downhill.

But if anyone thinks either of these two would be a credible fight for Floyd then your are crazy. Either one of these guys would get carved up within 5 rounds by Mayweather.

FOTY for sure!!! Let's see if Mayweather takes a fight against a bigger man for once..I doubt it because guerrero showed he knows how to work against the shoulder roll...great showing tonight..wish he had taken less uppercuts..

It was a great win for Guerrero but i don't think he can handle a guy like Mayweather. I was expecting better tools from Guerrero... but he looked too basic IMO.

This was a great fight, probably FOTY, but let's call a spade a spade. Berto was fighting against two guys in there. The ref was horrible. I wanna see a rematch.

Also, something is definitely up with Guerrero. This guy was mauled to death by Salido at featherweight, yet he was physically wayyyyyy stronger than Berto tonight. Also, Ghost couldn't crack an egg at 126, yet he drops Berto twice. I have no proof, but something wasn't right about what I saw from Guerrero tonight because I know his history.

Guerrero knows how to work Andre Berto's shoulder roll...but what about Floyd Mayweather's? Simply put, all Berto and even Broner can do is imitate the shoulder roll, but FM's roll is his own... And I agree, uppercuts seem to be the Ghost's weakness...

Either way, both Berto and Guerrero put on a hellava performance, and applaud both.

Shoulder roll isn't as effective when you are conceeding nearly five inches of reach..floyd's shoulder roll involves tons of leaning back which you can't do when the other opponent can still reach your face.

Fight of the year. Rd 7 Round of the year. First two rds I could see the rust, but he really showed grit. Ref was trash. As for fighting Mayweather, I don't give Guerro a chance. He was gettin tagged in the middle of the ring, a little too much. and with someone with better inside game, that enjoys fighting off the ropes he doesn't stand a chance. Berto is black gatti tho. Anyfight of his will be entertaining and he'll go to the last bell. All in all, hats of to guerro for a good fight.

what about bertos rabbit punches to the back of the head? he landed many of those... to be fair both guys fought dirty at times...
