At any rate.... God love Ricky. I don't know who couldn't like the guy, he's priceless as a person. I must admit though that he didn't look any different in there to me then he always has. He was talking about doing all these things different and that we'd see a different fighter in there, but other then not grappling as much as he used to, he still looked the same to me. That bounce, then pounce thing he does though is frustrating - and when he's lunging in (pouncing) he throws his whole body in to those wild shots.

He looks absolutely devistated. I'm afraid that if he doesn't keep it together and have an incredible support system (apparently he does have the support, but will he use it?) that this could push him over the edge. I feel soooo stinkin bad for him right now.

Keep yo head up Ricky! The people still (obvioulsy) love you, no matter what.
This. He may still try to go out on a win against a soft touch. I think he probably should just hang them up. He's clearly worn. Retiring on this fight is still much better than retiring after the Pacquiao loss though. Just my opinion.

The result was disappointing but nothing to be ashamed of. After going through what he's been through and deciding your comeback is going to be against a quality opponent like Senchenko. That's a pretty tall order. Hatton should keep his head high coz a loss to FMW or PAc takes nothing away from he has achieved in boxing. Instead that only shows how far he's gone. Hatton is a true warrior and should be proud not only for what he has done in the ring but more importantly for getting his life back.

For once Im glad HBO blew the results of the fight before I had a chance to stream the fight online. I have ZERO interest in seeing a heartbroken Hatton stopped in front of his home crowd after all that he has done to himself for the past few years.

think you'd say that if you were face to face with the guy?

            awesome keyboard warrior post.

I'd rate Hatton above many other so called great Brits, hes a warrior in the mould of Froch, test yourself against the best, thats gotta be worthy of something great. But because Ricky did, we got to see him fight prime Manny AND Mayweather, two ATGs. You wont see Price, Fury, Audley, Haye, Cleverly, Calzaghe doing the same thing, they never came close to fighting one prime ATG between them! Hatton puts these guys in the shade with his approach.

People can say what they want but hatton after a devastating ko loss,3y1/2 out of the ring and a lot of troubles in this time(3y 1/2)...well,hatton fought a very good fight vs a very good former world champ.

You shouldn't of come back Ricky.

Wish you the best in your second retirement.

I honestly hope Ricky fights one more time against a blown up lightweight who is both feather-fisted and a tomato can.

That way Ricky can go out on a win and bring proper closure to his career. I wouldn't trust GBP (see Ishida-Kirkland) rather I would turn to the legendary king of cherry picking, uncle Bob Arum.

Arum would get the perfect guy to make Ricky look like the terminator and allow Hatton to go out in proper fashion.

                      Hatton's father cheered for Senchenko

Wee battered Rickyhatton's lost the support of the father he recently beat up. Ricky is an empty shell of man hollow inside and devoid of character. Drugs and booze have eaten away at the inner core of Hatton leaving a confused addict depleted and drained. I'm glad Hatton lost a t hom ein front of all those dumb brits.
