I didn't think Ricky was gonna win...but now I wish I would've been wrong....sad to see such a proud warrior leave the game on terms other than his own....props to Senchenko though, he did what he had to do!!

Ricky said before this fight that this meant more than boxing, he was stuck in a hole, drinking, taking drugs feeling sorry for himself. He chose to take himself out of that environment and prepare his body for a professional prize fight, he deserves credit for that, and, hes a winner for that. It doesn't end here for him, if we see him two years down the line looking healthy, not having gained four stone feeling sorry for himself, then his decision to fight again was still a good one.

You making too many excuses for him. He has been away and not taking care of himself. It is not easy to compete on the top and maybe he simply doesn't have it anymore
I think you are saying what I said but you didn't realize it.

Hatton does fight better on the inside as that is where he fights best BUT his opponent was just to tall and had a longer reach so he was able to keep Hatton on the outside. Not sure what you thought I meant as most people already know that Hatton's game is on the inside. I also said, Hatton never was dominating at 147. Hatton could have gotten on the inside easier at 140. His punches were more effective and his opponents were not as strong at 140 compared to a 147lb fighter.

I also stated that he was away too long and therefore it didn't help things. After being away that long and doing what he did to himself, he shouldn't have fought Senchencko (as his first fight).

All that was said was true ..... not an excuse by me as I never was a Hatton fan but I doubt anyone was rooting against him tonight.

Just a pissed off euro fan boy. Probably drunk and is going through the stages of shock, sadness and rage all the while possibly crying and shouting absurd random comments about how his life sucks, his one and only favorite fighter is not as great as he thought he was and everyone knew it years ago when Floyd sent him on a date with that whore of a ring post. That ****ing whore!

If I was him, I would be blaming that ring post, take a few pills plus 17, finish that bottle of vodka and do us all a favor and call it night.

You did and I wanted to tell you that you would be wrong as I thought Ricky would win but then I just knew I would be lying to myself so I didn't reply.

Had hope that he would pull it off but just knew he was running right into a wall , that same wall that will put him right back where he was if he's not careful.

Hopefully his girl is easy on him and doesn't give the "I told you so" rant as that is the last thing he needs right now.

I didn't know Ricky Hatton lost 4 times? Could have sworn that it was only 3. Anyway, good win for Senchencko, bad loss for Hatton. Should have stayed away from the ring. Retirement loss from Pacquiao not so bad but Senchencko? guess Manny was right when he said that Hatton should stay retired.

Another thing. What's up with Hatton crying about losing all the damn time? Dude is/was a prize fighter competing on a high level playing field. a loss is inevitable if you don't continually to step your game up. I always thought Hatton was a great guy with a fun personality but in all due respect, he is a cry baby. You lost Ricky! It happens in boxing ESPECIALLY if you don't step your fight game up. Instead of pulling yourself down, learn from it and pull yourself up. He has been very successful, still has a huge fan base and supporters. Use that to help bring the new fighters up instead of trying to get more glory. This goes to Roy Jones, Evander Holyfield and all of them other boxers/fighters who can't seem to walk away. I would use George Foreman as a role model if I was these guys. HELL! George Foreman is a roll model in general because he walked away, came back and won a title at 46, walked away again and now he is mega successful with his Foreman Grills. Life goes on and it's not possible to keep doing the same thing you did for years and stay on top. Hatton acts like a spoiled kid. This is just my opinion.

                    • Decent scrap up until the KO. Hatton looked pretty good the first few rounds. Noteworthy for a guy coming off a 3 1/2 year layoff and substantial weight loss. He's a worn fighter though and he really showed a lot of vulnerability when he was charging in, much like he has done in the past. He came back and gave it a go, but fell short, and probably should really consider just hanging them up for good. Nothing to be ashamed of. If I'm him, I must rather go out on that loss than the Pacquiao KO.
