Hatton needs to retire now and never come back. He left the ring with his senses still intact, which is a definite improvement from the last time.

An elite welterweight would have made him pay a heavy price for one of those missed wild hooks. Senchenko wasn't quick enough on his feet to properly punish him, but in any case, once he got Hatton on the end of his jab it was all over. Hatton ate a lot of leather.

          To be expected I suppose.

They had Hatton winning by 4 pts.
4 rounds is a bit excessive. i thought senchenko was winning before that knockdown. Ricky looked a hell of a lot better than I thought he would considering the lay off and the drugs ect. Wish richard the best.

              Yep.

Had he survived this and sneaked a decision, he would have been in real trouble against a top opponent. Not even a Mayweather, guys like Berto or Brook would have hurt him badly.

In that respect it's a good thing as it will save him real physical damage, the concern now is purely how he stands up to the mental damage.

This is what I'm saying. I'm not sure how much better Hatton would have been at this age even if he hadn't done all that shyt.

I don't think Paulie would have been able to hurt him though, but you never know...

It's obvious Hatton isn't in the shape for tough competition. But at the same time I'm not sure Paulie could hurt him. He took a lot of shots pretty well tonight. Paulie would box his ears off, most likely, though.

                      True.

Then again, I didn't think Senchenko could hurt him either so...
