Comments Thread For: Juanma on The Vazquez Feud, The Fight Falling Through

Former two division champion Juan Manuel "JuanMa" Lopez (31-2) made a recent appearance on The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene's official audio show. JuanMa spoke to us about a variety of topics including his suspension following his March 10th TKO loss to Orlando Salido in their rematch.

Lopez said that he used the time away from the ring to regroup and spend time with his family.

"I feel very good. I am very happy and very grateful. All I am thinking about is getting back in the ring and resuming my career," Lopez stated.

Lopez isn't in any position to be picky
his star has fallen, he got KO'd twice, and he lost valuable prime time
just settle into the new weight all the way and fight whoever
no punchers, but whoever else is there
when guys with no clout start making demands, it looks weak

if this is the case then Juanma vs Rocky Martinez looks to be more possible at 130 IMO.

i have a feeling he still thinks he's a star at the moment and might be a bit picky about the money,i think he'll do ok at 130 as long as he's matched carefully at first because some of the champs there hit hard and this guy even when barely getting hit it has a bit of an effect on him

Vasquez Jr did that trash talk to Donaire aswell and Nonito shut his mouth inside the ring.
