According to promoter Hector Garcia of HG Boxing, negotiations are ongoing to finalize a rematch between IBF super featherweight champion Juan Carlos Salgado (26-1-1, 16KOs) and mandatory challenger Argenis Mendez (20-2, 10KOs). The target date is January 26th. The IBF ordered the rematch to take place by January 28. The rematch will happen in either Las Vegas or Los Angeles.

I like Mendez but he likes to admire his work too damn much! He needs to forget about looking pretty while fighting and get the job done period!
