Danny Green once again resurrected his up and down career, this time with a 12-round win over Shane Cameron in their catchweight fight Wednesday evening (local time) in Melbourne, Australia.

The bout was billed as an IBO Cruiserweight title fight, though came at a capped weight. Cameron weighed 195 lb., while the naturally smaller Green came in at 192 lb. The referee was Pat Russell, who struggled throughout the evening to maintain control.

Agreed.

That aside, I've got two questions.

1) Why do all of Danny Green's opponents wear Green Machine gloves, which are named after Danny Green? Does he have gloves specially made for him by his own company? Is this even legal? And why on earth would his opponent agree to wearing gloves made by his own opponent?

2) Why do fighters in all of Danny Green's fights wear brown tape instead of white? I've never seen that stuff outside of a Danny Green fight, but they wear it to secure the gloves and in place of traditional white tape on the handwraps. What's the deal with that?
