How much effect did Oscar De La Hoya had on Floyd/Manny being superstars?

How much effect did you think Oscar's fights with them and marketing of them had to do with Floyd-Pac being the superstars that they are today?

He gave them the exposer to his fan base but other than that they put in the work and made themselves superstars

I think he gave them a chance to become even bigger stars just like he was given the chance with Chavez Sr.

He the sole reason they became superstars. If it wasnt for De La Hoya they be like ward and Martinez type fighters in terms of fame

All the effect, thats how both were able to crossover into mainstream! He made them who they are today. The should both be thankful of the opportunity he gave!

It helped Pac more so than Floyd imo. Everyone has always hated Floyd... Nothing new. He was a big name by then. More people learned about Pac though. People could barely spell his name up until then lol

Because of Oscar, 90-95% of today's NSB posters started watching boxing.

A lot of course, no fanboy can deny that.

But they were destined to be superstars, just needed some one to trigger it.

It's like when you are born with a genetic problem that is triggered by something, like stress. You are destined to have it, you just need something to pull the trigger. Mayweather and Pacquiao were stars who needed to be put on stage and Oscar did that.

You didn't see Mosley becoming a million-PPV-A-side fighter, or Hopkins, or any one else. It was only Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Because Ward and Martinez can sell close to 400K PPVs right?
