I know the first one to knock him down was Reyes Cruz in 1988. De La Hoya knocked him down also and some unknown guy did it when Camacho was at the twilight of his career, around 2003, I think. Other than those, I don't think anyone else knocked him down.

Thanks. I began watching him during the Vinny Paz and Haugen timeframe so I just remember somebody telling me that he was never knocked down and I guess I carried it from there on. I have gone back to watch his fight prior to that but Im sure that fight was one of the few that I may have missed.

That fight against Cruz was difficult because the guy was tall and very strong for the weight. If you get a hold of a Camacho-Mancini copy with prefight footage included you will see the knockdown. I remember getting the Camacho-Cruz fight from youtube but it's not there anymore.

He wasnt in his prime, and he also went up in weight to fight Chavez, Camachos best years were in the early 80's.

I would say that his prime started with the Rafael Limón fight and ended around the Pazienza bout. That would be from 1983 to 1990. By the time he faced Chavez, in 1992, he was past it already.

It seems like almost everyone that played a role on who I am today as a kid is dead.

Crazy schit. It's safe to say I'm an old man at 30.

Agreed, but he was different after he fought Chapo..wasnt as aggressive as he was in his earlier years.
