Basically it all depends what you respect more The "W" or "The manner is which you get the W". Mexicans seem to put "The manner is which you get the W" higher on the pedestal then the "W' itself and blacks seem to like it vice versa, for the most part at least. It just boils down to what you been ingrain to respect the most.

Just like if you watch a fight and people go at it and someone wrestler the other down, some will say it fighting anything goes well other will say that a bitch move, etc etc. Boils down to what you respect the most, The "W" or the manner in which you get the "W"
    no.

im not talking about their "style" but just judging them based on their level of athleticism.

you can still be a brawling,"plant your feet" kind of fighter and your athleticism will show.

What im saying is that whatever style they employ, it seems like mexican boxing dont get a lot of pure athletes with fast twitch muscle fibers.

I dunno maybe all the elite mexican athletes play soccer instead of boxing. Sort of like american heavyweights. they are all playing in the nba or nfl.

    just my 0.02.

Mexican boxers have made more athletic black boxers look foolish. Morales/Jones, Marquez/Gainer. The thing is most black boxers are american and it's the americanized style of boxing.

Look at Clottey and Quartey, both black as night (not American) but got out-athleted by Delahoya and Pac

I'll give you an example of a guy that knew how to brawl but had noticeable great athletic ability. duran........

it's a difference from coming foward and brawling & having athletic ability.........karass, rios, angulo. those guys don't have great athletic ability & it has nothing to do with them coming forward & wanting to fight that way......it's something thats just not within them. their not super athletic fighters.

but thats not to say for every mexican fighter.

or pacquiao. or aaron pryor. the reason why boxers/counter punchers are thought of as great athletes is that it takes great athletic skill and fast twitch muscle fibers to do what they do.

floyd and nonito are examples today.

Most mexican boxers arent versatile and only know how to brawl

Look at a fighter like Bronner for example , its rare to find a mexican boxer with the blend of skills that he has

At the end of the day , boxing is a sport. If i wanted to watch a brawl , id hit the club on a friday night

                black boxers > mexican boxers
