Prime Bernard Hopkins in today's MW-SMW Landscape. How will he do?

How will Prime Bernard of his 160 days do in today's MW and SMW landscape.

I think it's fair to assume he can fight at 168 as well, even though he never fought there. Just think about it this way. Bernard fought around the SMW Weight against Pavlik, you take that version but make it younger, faster, and more explosive.

It's pretty obvious he'd be the best 160 pounder in the world today.

He'd beat everybody except maybe ward he'd have trouble with froch due to his heart and strength but he'd out box him.

And Martinez would cause a few problems but Hopkins had big power in his right hand when he was younger and Martinez is open for those if timed right so we could see a KO there.

      Everyone else gets blown out.

Martinez vs. Hopkins wouldn't even get sanctioned. That might be the definition of a 100% mismatch.

Not really a 100% mismatch would be Abraham Hopkins or Chavez jr Hopkins.

But I mean look at jermain Taylor he caused Hopkins problems and jermain was more of a athlete then Hopkins was and Martinez is more of a athlete then Taylor he's also faster and hits harder if you ask me plus he's left handed was that a prime Hopkins I really don't know considering who all he beat after words but you can't deny Hopkins would have some trouble.

keep in mind hopkins was 40 years old when he fought Taylor and not still in his prime.

                people always forget that.

Prime Hopkins was probably between 1998-2003, reaching his absolute peak around 2001 against Trinidad.

To be fair, Hopkins wasn't exactly "prime" at that stage. I'd say the best Hopkins was around 99'-01'. No MW's toay beat him at that point. None.

That was not a Prime Hopkins.
