Who is the most Athletic Heavyweight of all times?

Prime Muhammad Ali is my personal pick. Freakish reflexes and amazing hand speed, footwork. Some of the things he did during the 60's was quite shocking. This guy was 6'3 and at times looked like superman in the ring during 64-67, dodging ducking punches that missed him by mere inches.

Mike Tyson is a close 2nd for me. Don't really need to get into detail on this one. Everyone should know about Mike.

Wladimir/Lennox are two overlooked 'athletic' heavyweights. They are extremely athletic for such big men. Both of them are 6'5-6'6 and 240+. Lewis during his prime showed a lot of athleticism for such a big guy and the same thing applys to Wlad now.

Lesser known Heavyweights that also showed a lot of atleticism are
    Ken Norton and Ike Ibebuchi.

Evander Holyfield and David Haye are two more of supreme athleticism.

he's not really a HW if you want to get technical about the size, but floyd patterson deserves a nod as well, as HW is where he fought and became champion.

he was the size of a LHW / CW. 71 inch reach. six footer. weighed 200 once in his career. usually in the 180-195 range at his peak.

my vote is for ali, though. it's not even that close.

Great call. forgot about Patterson (hence the 'other' option). But I will put him below the likes of Tyson- maybe even Haye simply because they were much bigger men. Etc that showed similiar if not more athleticism.

I would go with Floyd Patterson as well!

Ali of course, I still haven't seen foot work as smooth as Ali from a Heavyweight and to be able to Maintain that same Bounce and Quickness later in the fight is still just amazing to me

Ali easily because of his boxing skills and coordination in the ring however Joe Louis was an excellant athlete!! He was athletic on a football field or baseball and could hit a golf ball a mile!
......you would not want to see Tyson with a basketball wasn't pretty!

Ken Norton. He was a member of the all state American football team, he was also very good at athletics. He was entered into 8 track and field events and came first in every one, they made the "Ken Norton rule" after this which limits an athlete to only compete in 3 events.
