Take into consideration resume and overall h2h abilities(perceived) Also list a 'future pick' for the best of the next generation. Just for fun.
I'll go
60's onward
Ali
Ali (Imo, what he did during the 70's edged Duran)
Leonard
Lewis (based on overall resume of beating World/Class Elite fighters, and the rare occasion of actually avenging both his defeats)
Pacquaio
The future
Ward
The 80's and 90's were packed with great fighters.
The 80's Fab Four leading into Tyson who opened the gates for Holyfield Bowe,Lewis, along with the lower weights like Roy Jones, Pernell, Tito,Oscar,Chavez, etc. Toney,Benn,Eubank,Nunn. Those were really packed eras.
The LHW of the 70's 80's are a bit forgotten these days, but they actually delivered some amazing fights and was arguably one of the best LHW (if not the best) eras ever. MSM,Lopez,Spinks,Eddie,Johnson,Dwight etc.
