People throw around the "ATG" letters too often and too quickly on new jacks.

Give him some time to go through a few wars against major competition first.

Then throw the ATG at him and see if it sticks.

i think its a really good fight..........a much better challenge then burns or vasquez (& don't get me started on abril) if ether of these 3 went up to 147 & fought paulie i see them getting picked apart.

people don't understand that paulie is a dangerous fighter if you let him get into a groove.

paulie won't just plod in front of broner.

Yeah I'm sure he won't. It's not like he loses to bums like Pablo Cano..

Pablo Cesar Cano is a bum?

when you reply to me you need a better response then that because i want to see whats really going on in your brain.

              so heres the options.

abril, vasquez, burns, Malignaggi @ 147.

which one of these opponents is the bigger challenge?

vasquez went life and death with "bum" Quintero. abril was on the edge of going life & death with Bogere. & burns hasn't fought anyone. (i can do exactly what you do but better)

the paulie fight isn't a bad fight.

Broner is good but his resume as of yet is nothing major. DeMarco was a good win, De Leon was a good win (I had it a draw tbh) other than those 2 there aren't any names that make you sit up and say "yes, this guy is a p4p level fighter".

The fact that he is fighting Paulie next, a man who hasn't won a single meaningful fight in his career and is way past his prime for a "championship" at 147 while skipping 6-7 possible fights is a bad sign.

So let's not condone this behaviour, we should be asking for tougher match ups and only rating a fighter (not just broner) as p4p if he beats legit, top level competition.

I don't know why people are complaining about the Malignaggi-Broner fight. Broner is moving up two weight divisions.

And let's not forget, Broner is still very young.

I personally wouldn't knock the Malignaggi fight if Broner wasn't being ranked as one of the best p4p and a guy who in hypothetical match ups seems to come out on top against most current opponents at 135-140 in the eyes of many.

If Broner was still being built as an up and coming contender with a belt around his waist as most 23 year old stars are then this would be fine but as he is now, being built as one the bets boxers on the planet, the Paulie fight is laughable, considering he skipped several top level fighters in and around his division who are far better than Paulie at this stage in their respective careers.
