...You punched yourself out a couple of times like and idiot and you got clipped! You were so damn punched out and gassed that you actually literally layed down on the guy to take a nap! LOL...
I agree with this statement. This seems to be the problem of many boxers with power. We saw Angulo vs. Kirkland where the mex punched himself out after droping Kirkland and never recovered. Marquez was more concerned on launching attacks than playing smart defense and as a matter of fact the 3 times he was dropped he was in a fenzy attack when Viloria counter punched him while Marquez was getting exhausted of throwing punches. Viloria was better because he was smarter and knew how to administer better than Marquez. Very often, the heavy punchers like T. Marquez, Angulo, etc. rely so much on their power and are barely prepared to go on long fights which may be indicative that their preparation is poor or just for few rounds and also many times they can't adjust (have a plan B) when things are not as expected. This might explain the possibility of Tyson injuring his hand (which occurs frequently) without being able to adapt to new conditions. It is less factible that Marquez was really having gastric disconfort although Duran claimed that happened in his second fight vs. Leonard (the famous "no mas")
