Broner has looked very good in beating lesser opposition. He hasn't beaten anyone of note yet.

Broner will have much better comp to contend with, as he moves up. For Ward, there's very little in sight.

He just beat #1 rated LW, at worst top 3. Nobody else in the division would have a chance, right?

As of right now - if you watch their fights and look at their resume, it's clearly Ward..... but I see a bright future for Broner, kids got some serious skills.....

Well to be fair, the only "elite" fighter that Ward can say that he fought is Chad Dawson and the weight clearly was the biggest factor in that match.

No one from the Super Six aside from Dirrell can be seen as elite.

Still, Ward has been more active against the best his division had to offer.

Broner isn't nearly as accomplished based solely off of Ward's super six efforts alone.

Both are talented. Both have tremendous potential. But so far IMO Broner has the more pleasing style as Ward's style is a bit ugly and unrefined.

But there is absolutely no comparison at this point between Ward and Broner as it pertains to P4P status. I don't think that Broner has honestly earned a spot on the list just yet .. even though he just easily dethroned the #1 LW in the world.

Now if Broner continues to fight the #1, 2 and 3 guys in whichever division he finds himself competing in, he'll be in a top position in no time.

You're talking about comparing him to Andre Ward, arguably the No.1 P4P fighter on the planet.

Beating (destroying) Demarco clearly showed Broner was above that level of competition, i.e. solid, journeyman title holders who don't feature in anyone's P4P conversations but are nevertheless high quality pros.

Broner would have to beat guys like Gamboa, Mathysse, or Khan, guys who themselves would be in very few peoples' top 10 P4P before you start talking about him in those lofty terms.

That's not to say he isn't good or anything. People just need to keep a little perspective.

                  Based on what?

Who has Bradley fought that makes Bradley a better P4P fighter?

                  Pacquiao?

LOL ... Pacquiao had just walked away with a tremendous gift before Bradley got his hands on Pacquiao. Manny's stock at that point wasn't catapulting anyone into king of the hill status as nearly any honest fan saw him as damaged goods at that point.

So now Demarco is a tougher opponent than Manny Pacquiao

You don't think Froch is elite? Kessler? Neither of them are elite? Then who at 168 should he have fought? Dirrell pulled out of their fight with a "head" injury.
