I think Merchant made the comparison. Maybe I misunderstood. This was a great, entertaining fight, but hardly a shocking upset like the tko win mayweather had over Chico.

Broner won well but on the other hand De Marco was very tentative (like waiting for a moment to start launching a serious attack) and it looked like he didn't have the characteristic mex stamina. For 3-4 rounds De Marco was only leaning forward without throwing any meaningful punches and Nacho told him he was going to stop the fight because Tony wasn't performing at all (after the knock down there was no doubt that Nacho would throw the towel). I think tonight fight is the combination of a good performance by Broner and also a very sloopy or sub par/bellow his normal performance on the part of De Marco. I couldn't stop remembering how Broner received a gift against Ponce De Leon (the same way Floyd was also benefited with a bad decision in his first fight vs. Castillo).

I don't think it mattered if DeMarco drove a ****ing tank int othe ring tnoight. Skills and speed are just no where near Broners.

Demarco over trained maybe? It's possible but I just think Demarco was to slow and Broner was too quick and hit to hard for him to handle..

I would like Broner to face off with Gamboa next, that would be awesome.

he is not afraid to **** and he is a BEAST INSIDE: Body Shots, Uppercuts, Hooks all inside reminded me so much of Toney in his PRIME... Toney was defensive as well and used the Shell and Shoulder Roll also but he never backed away or ran, he was able to stay in the pocket and still be slick but yet still land his Power Shots

DOMINATING and IMPRESSIVE performance by BRONER against a Solid Opponent...Cong**** to him!
THAT my friend is a serious stretch. Broner lacks fluidity, hes one punch at a time, rarely throwing combos. Toney didn't. He was fairly active, and put together combos.

I'm sorry, but who ever thought demarco was going you win is out of their freaking mind. Valero gave him so many problems with his speed. Broner has that kind of speed if not or better or equal. Stop jumping into conclusions. This was an easy fight for broner. Broner telly needs to step up though.
