Dirrell based on talent, he'll prove himself in the future. However Bute on credentials, Bute like Calzaghe had something like 15title defenses against a bunch of bums going into the Froch fight and was ranked p4p etc. Bute on what he did before the fight, Pascal on what he accomplished after the fight, but Dirrell imo based on abillity. Dirrell wouldve beaten Calzaghe and might even beat Ward, thats how crazy talented this kid is, he'll prove himself in the future

However his he did beat other noteworthy people like former middleweight champs Abraham/Taylor, former supermiddleweight champ who won 5rounds vs calzaghe in Kessler(a guy he couldve stopped in the 5th and will **** in the rematch at his best), and many others like former lightheavyweight king Glen Johnson.

You said Froch beat all those guys except Ward. He lost to Kessler and I agree with that decision. Calzaghe beat Kessler by a good amount. Their resumes are close but I'll go with Calzaghe. Froch has a much more fan friendly style but Calzaghe was effective with more speed and a better defense than Froch in my opinion. Froch fought better guys overall but he lost twice.
