The count was not that long.

Manny was rung because he didn't see the shot coming, but like a warrior, he got up and took the fight to Hussein.

It was ultimatly a TKO on cuts, but Manny was getting to Hussy late in the fight with his relentlessness.

Manny has an above average chin. He was hit fush many time by Marquez, Morales and Barrera.

    They guy is all heart.

The fight was five years ago-- October 2000-- at the Ynarez Sports Complex in the city of Antipolo, province of Rizal in the Philippines. Pac was defending his WBC International Super Bantamweight crown which he won by dusting off fellow-Filipino Reynante Jamili in the 2nd round. The Jamili fight came just two months after Pac had lost his WBC Flyweight belt to Medgoen Singsurat in Thailand, KO3 (a dehydrated Pacquiao welted under heavy body bombardment).

Pacquiao had already lost the title at the weigh-in and climbed the ring without a belt.

The meeting with Nadel Hussein was Pac's 3rd defense (Arnel Barrotillo- KO4, Seung Kong-Chae- TKO1) of the WBC International SuperBatam belt. When Pac went down, it was not only he who was stunned; so were the thousands in attendance and those who viewed the fight on Philippine TV. When the fight was stopped on cuts in the 10th by Filipino referee Carlos Padilla, Hussein's Manager/Trainer Jeff Fenech displayed unrestrainedly the well-known Fenech tantrum. He promised that he won't bring any of his fighters to Philippine soil ever again. I have some vague memory that he broke that promise. Both boxing and Manny were not all that big yet in mainstream Philippine media, and what little coverage there was, gave space to the view that Padilla may have been a tad too protective of Manny, and that Manny could have collected himself without Padilla's help. (Opinions! Opinions!)

Short of three years and all of 6 fights later, Pac went down again, when Serikzhan Yeshmangbetov landed a right hook to the face in the fourth round of the fight held at the Luneta Park in Manila. Pac regained his composure and put down Yeshmangbetov twice in the fifth to end the encounter. It was Pac's first fight at Featherweight.

Between the two KDs, pac finished off 5 of six opponents before the scheduled distance. The only exception was the Technical Draw with Agapito Sanchez.

Note: A few days ago, another Filipino rising star, Rey Bautista, suffered a KD but picked himself up to win by UD.

Thats another example of you replying to someones opinion with utter bull****

Start trying to talk boxing and stop making excuses for your man.

he was caught flush and was hurt by a fighter whom I wouldnt even rate.

that was more of a hook jab and it was a clean counter shot. those shots you dont see will drop you. no shame in that. it doesnt reflect a weak chin
