Yeah but Shannon Briggs is talking out of his ass. If he really wants Peter he would not have signed on to fight someone else in January. He should be at the negotiating table with Peter's camp.

Briggs is staying busy, something that Peter needs. Few matches are made in January and Briggs' confidence is sky high on his winning streak and he's as big and strong as anyone in the division. Remember, he was one punch from claiming Lewis before Lewis recovered.

Peter was stunned in the last round against Wlad. There is no doubt that Briggs could probably outbox Peter for a while, but eventually Peter finds his mark, so Briggs is likely going to play it by ear and slug when cornered but box when possible and look for a big shot that catches Peter coming in.

Until proven otherwise, it is assumed Peter has the better chin in a battle of sluggers, so a betting man will go with Peter, but he is also less experienced.

From what i remember with his fight with Lewis, Briggs has very fast hands and pretty good power, he also has good size and is very athletic, in terms of a physical specimen, he's up there with the best, what really lets him down, is his non existent defence.

Good fight. I would like to see it. I'll take Peter by TKO around eight, but it's a nice test for Sam. It would also get Briggs a title shot if he pulls the upset.

Briggs has a very questionable chin. He showed that in his fights with Mccline, Lewis and Wilson.

true, but Peter isn't exatly Joe Frazier just yet. One punch at a time will cause him problems. I still lean towards Peter to win, but I think it is a interesting matchup.

I think a good fight between the younger heavyweights is Brock vs Peter, maybe that will happen soon.

If Briggs wins, it'll be the the end of Peter. I don't think Peter is very eager to do it. Has anybody heard about any response from him?
