I agree that Canelo should face someone on that level first but then again that would mean that a Canelo-Floyd fight wouldn't happen until Sept. or Nov.and Floyd will be mid-36! A win over an old Floyd doesn't deserve much credit imo...

Why doesn't he get an actual top 5 fighter in his weight class. Sheeet anybody with a pulse thats a real threat thats actually in his division and not on an extreme slide like cintron who molina and Margarito made their woman while jumping out of the ring for dear life from Paul Williams.Dude likes to fight welterweights and jr welterweights in 154 fights like Lopez and Hatton. His best win is ryan rhoades lol Their atleast should be a level of accomplishment to earn a floyd fight. Marquez tore through lightweight and Pac bebefore fighting floyd. Berto was the #3 welterweight and Ortiz blasted him to get a crack. Cotto made a decent run at 154 before fighting floyd. Canelo needs to beat Cotto first which Cotto spanks him i think, different class of fighter at this point. Mosley was so shot, Cotto was one of the few men to win rounds and landed the most significant damage on floyd then anyone. Cotto can fight backwards now and and Canelo isn't even half as talented a counterpuncher like floyd who outpointed him with his back against the ropes the whole fight. Canelo has power but Cotto has technique.
