Why isn't Berto castigated for cherry picking Guerrero like Canelo was for Lopez?

Why isn't Berto castigated for cherry picking Guerrero like Canelo was for Lopez?

Canelo was flamed for fighting a 140 pounder, but at least Lopez had a win against Ortiz, who's just as big as Canelo and was actually considered an elite fighter. Now Berto is fighting a lighweight with a single 147 win against Aydin, who was a tiny welter and was basically a nobody.

I don't get why people consider this anymore legitimate than Canelo fighting Lopez.

I know some people are high on Guerrero, which is fine, but the fact is there still remains a huge natural weight difference.

Jump off a bridge guy. Not the same at all. The Ghost is a good small guy who can actually box not a small one hit wonder.

Ps .....I do think Berto destroys him though

Berto isnt holding a world title. And in this fight Berto is the challenger since Guerrero is holding the interm WBC belt

No they dont. They say he's talented but untested.

I hold a win against Ortiz (enter the ring at 164lbs, same as Canelo) even if he hadn't fought at 154 yet to higher esteem than I do against freaken Aydin (enters the ring at 151lbs).

Still lots of differences. For starters, Lopez is likely better than Berto. So it's still a step up. Guerrero has also fought at 147 before.
