What does p4p mean to you? Mike Tyson.Floyd Mayweather.

I'm curious what the term 'p4p' means to you.

I read several explanations on various sites and by boxing writers.
One of them state 'p4p is regardless of weight, who is better, or if they fought at the same size.

That doesn't make much sense, because a 5'10 Tyson will literally destroy a 5'10 Wladimir or even a 5'10 Lewis.

Part of what make Wlad and Lennox so great is their ability to fight tall and use their superior size.

That being said a 6'5 Tyson might not be able to beat a 6'5-6'6 Lewis or Wlad. Simply because it nullifys his own style.....

Or does p4p means simply as another boxing writer puts it:

    The most skilled overall.
No h2h comparisons. Just the most skilled overall.
Or is it dominance of current performance/resume?

Most skilled overall. Dont care who they fought and how badly they beat them. Yea some highly rated boys must be in there but overall boxing skill is how i look at the fictional P4P discussion.

Ya but that's puzzling in itself. Prime Tyson's primary abilities were all directly linked to the fact that he was 5'10 and a short HW.

So if you make all things equal and make Tyson a 6'6 HW against a 6'6 Lewis. Tyson's primary tactics will fail.

BUT if you 'shrink' Lewis to 5'10, than Lennox will lose badly to a 5'10 Tyson. So how can you judge?
