Comments Thread For: Sulaiman Blasts Judge For For Mares vs. Mores Score

World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman has blasted boxing judge James Jen-kin for his shutout 120-106 scorecard in the title defense of WBC super bantamweight champion Abner Mares against WBA bantamweight t champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last Saturday.

Sulaiman said Jen-Kin’s score was “a blasphemy to boxing” and once again blamed the United States Commissions for some of the problems.

the fight was a joke but Don Jose bringing up Nevada out of nowhere. maybe I'm wrong but the last time I looked the Staples Center was in LA, which I think is still in California. so the Nevada comission wouldn't really have anything to do with it.

          maybe I'm wrong.

sure, letting the sanctioning body pick the officials, (when the sanctioning bodies future earnings depend on the more marketable fighter winning) is a GREAT idea. What could possibly go wrong?? lol

I thought the rules indicate a partial round to be scored at the time of the technical decision stoppage?

What if a fighter was knocked down in that time period in that final round?

Or what if the round went on for 2:45 before getting stopped and a fighter scored multiple knockdowns in the round? It would just get erased because it isn't a completed round?

120-106 is really not terrible at all. I can see how some one wouldn't want to give one damn round to Scaredelmo Runnerno. Dude didn't give me a reason to give him a round.

I'd much rather have Nevada or California pick the ref and the judges than the promoters or the corrupt WBC. The state commissions have no incentive to make anything but a fair contest. Could you imagine if Suleiman could pick the ref and judges for a Canelo or JCC jr. fight? My god, Martinez would have lost his fight with JCC Jr. 120-107 all three times if Suleiman was in charge.

120-106 was a ****ing disgrace. Don't worry Sulaiman, you won't need judges for Mares Donaire. Just a doctor and a stretcher will do.
