I believe Dwight Braxton did some time in Rahway before winning the title from Saad...is that who you're thinking of?Originally posted by darrenshyrockfordin the 80's that was in prison and got a shot at the title when he was just out or still in prison ....what was his name
Unless you're thinking of James 'Superman' Scott, who spent much of his career fighting behind bars (also Rahway), before the prison pulled the plug on it's boxing program. I don't believe Scott fought for a title though, but he's probably the most famous "prison fighter" there's been, considering a bunch of hs fights from there were shown live on netweork television. -

Darren, the last I heard James Scott had just been released from Rahway within the last year or so (Nov of 2004 was when he was released, I think), but I couldn't tell you what he's been up to since then.Originally posted by darrenshyrockfordi wonder what he's up to . i can't find anything on him right now. looks like he had a book out but thats about itComment
