Seems about right, the only thing Wach really did that Haye didn't was take a beating.
I find it funny that Wach gets a heap of respect for having no defence, especially as hes a 6'7" 250lb behemoth, and little david haye gets shat upon for using head movement.

While I do see your point, people feel Haye is a much better fighter than Wach (and he is) so people should expect more from Haye. Nothing was expected of Wach so that he was able to survive that beating impresses some people, lots of boxing fans have soft spots for tough guys who get beat up but essentially do all they can to win.
Wach was certainly a no hoper and isn't a very good fighter, people wanted to see Haye do more to try and win because he actually has talent on the flip side people hate guys who they don't fight up to their talents even if their expectations are really out of this world.

Obviously the expectations were different. One thing you can say for sure is, Wach did his best. With Haye, maybe he did his best if his mission was to go the distance taking minimal punishment
