it irks me to say this, but Canelo will beat Lara

Yup! I have always said this. I just don't see why people think Lara is so worthy. The guy ran all fight, clinched, threw an intentional low blow, fatigued and of course the head butt.

If people like Lara, they must love the Kiltschko brothers. Canelo throws great 2-3 punch combinations that catches Lara and breaks him down. He cuts off the ring much better than Vanes and has more power. Canelo by TKO in the late rounds.

Some people just want Canelo to lose so bad that they try to make other fighters better than what they really are.

Junior middleweight contender Erislandy Lara (17-1-2, 11KOs) was frustrated with last night's technical decision draw against Vanes Martirosyan. The fight was stopped by the ringside doctor after a deep gash was opened up above Martirosyan's left eye after both fighter's heads collided early in the 9th round. I am a fan of Lara, one thing I don't get is his wife said on facebook he came in to fight with a fractured right hand, but then he says he is ready to fight the next day, He should had said after the fight he had that problem with his hand, I guess he did not want to say it not to be looked at like he had excuses for not achieved a better perfomance, To me he outclassed/Out punched Vanes, but he could had done better...Maybe the hand, Maybe.

So what you are saying is that Kirkland, Williams and Ortiz are not worth opponents? He has looked to fight worthy competition, but those fights fell through from things that were beyond his control yet nobody wants to realize that or give him his due for trying to step up. Had the Paul Williams fight been made, that would of been a very dangerous fight.

Also, he is trying to fight the best and p4p fighters in Cotto, Martinez and Mayweather. Still no love? Still no respect?

I'm not saying that at all - they are with the exception of Ortiz (undersized). But Lopez, Mosely, Cintron, & Rhodes are by no means not. A fighter with the number of fights under his belt like Canelo should have stepped it up when he beat Hatton for the strap. Again, why not fight Trout when he had the chance? Listen, Canelo is definitely skilled, but I can't get behind him when he's fighting overmatched fighters like he's just coming up. He's in the big time - time to act like it, that's what I and a lot of people are saying.....

This has been addressed already. Sure he tried to fight Kirkland and Williams, but he gets **** since he chose to fight someone that didn't belong at 154. Why didn't he fight k9, Lara, Martosyan, or any else at 154.
He also gets alot of heat, since hes trying to get those big fights by fighting bums. Who has canelo fought in the Top 10 of his class?
