Say a fully motivated David Haye who actually fights everyone instead of just chasing K2.

Could he have been the 2nd best HW of this generation? Behind Wladimir and ahead of Vitali?

No way to compare Haye against prime Vitali (not even Vitali from 2-3 years ago).

Vitali is a huge fighter with very awkward style. His two biggest assets are exceptional stamina and one of the best chins in HW ever. His output in every fight is extremely high. He would outthrow and outland just about every fighter you put in front of him. Apart from that he does have a pure killer instinct to finish the fight.

Haye is extremely fast and explosive fighter but... His stamina is not great and his chin is not among the bests. He has a very good defence (slightly worse than Byrd). His punching power is very impressive but again not among the biggest HW punchers.

There are two scenarios for prime Vitali against prime Haye. Either Vitali KO Haye like he KOed Herbie Hide (who is not much worse fighter than Haye) or Haye runs around like mad (literally run).

3rd place is realistic but also maximum for Haye.

Haye would lose to many of the top 25 heavyweights, that's why he has always avoided them.

Price, Pulev, Mitchell, Arreola, etc are too dangerous for the loudmouthed fraud.

This, but he beats Vitali now. He has the capability of beating Wlad too but I don't think he'll take it to Wlad, which is how you beat him.

Give it a break, Haye would spark Price out.

Price has a chin made of play doh.

Price wouldn't be knocked down by little super middleweight Lolenga Mock nor stopped by age 40 light heavyweight Carl Thompson.

Digging up fights from where he was a youngster who was still learning? Poor tactics, especially when Wlad has been on the seat of his pants more times than a Rugby player.

Wlad would never be knocked down by Lonenga Mock.

Wladimir wasn't knocked down by Mormeck. Haye was downed by Mormeck and nearly knocked out, he had to resort to a rabbit punch to survive the round.

Wald wasn't knocked down by prime Barrett, while Haye was knocked down by an old Monte.

                    Haye is very, very overrated.
