If anything Mares is underrated as people focus on things like this instead of his awesome resume and take on all comers attitude. You're also not saying anything new or original TS. Yes, Mares does get away with some dirty stuff but so do guys like Ward, Floyd, and Hopkins. Blame the refs don't blame the fighters.

Mares does get away with alot. He is great and will be a force for years but damn I hate how he can do anything in the ring and his opponent can not do anything.

Floyd rams his elbow into people's throats, Ward heatbutts and holds as many times as he wants, and Hopkins pretty much does every dirty trick in the book. These guys hardly ever get warned, so it's no different than what Mares gets away with. You act like Mares wasn't whooping Moreno and blasting him against the ropes. He's an aggressive body puncher and sometimes a few will stray south of the border, you being a Cotto fan should know this comes with being a committed body puncher.
