Will Floyd vs Zab be a PPV success?

I think this is the most interesting match up south of Middelweight that could get made, pitting two very fast and skilled fighters against eachother.

But do you think it will sell?

It obviously won't sell Oscar vs Tito numbers (although I like this match up almost as much),

but what do you figure for PPV sales?

It'll be a success, maybe not astrnomical, but moderately.

just put it this way.....this PPV will be the biggest selling one of the year. Who the _ _ _ _ is realy going to buy constant PPV by HBO showcasing washed up, old fighters? (DLH, MOSLEY, VARGAS, RJJ, HOPKINS. ETC) Can you say washed up?

On another note, this PPV MIGHT exceed Tito and ODLH sales because this fight is HUGE!

of course it will be a PPV success. it boasts the two top p4p fighters in the world today.

the fight might not live up to expectations (a la DLH/tito), but it will sell for damn sure.

Being a high profile fight in the boxing world doesn't always = PPV success. Neither Floyd or Zab sells well on their own, so it's not like this is an outrageous question.

wasnt implying that it was outrageous. but pure boxing fans ought to be foaming at the mouth to see this fight. that alone should make the buy rates at least jump if not skyrocket.

When's the last time a non Heavyweight fight sky rocketed?

                  That's my point.

Delahoya vs Tito did 1.4 Million buys.

This won't even come close to that.

                  I say 600 000 at the most.

I think everyone should see this fight, but the mass apeal Tito and Oscar had put it on a higher level.

As much as I want to see this fight, I don't think it will sell as well with the casual fans.

More reccently, Winky and Tito did 520 000 buys, but that was because of Tito's insane popularity.

I would like to see this fight break records, but I think it will do between 400 - 600 K.

Anyone else want to take a guess at the # of buys?

ODLH-Tito was a huge success because those guys were known to even casual boxing fans. The casual boxing fans don't really know about Floyd & Zab.
