it depends on the undercard. I think it'd get just as much hype as the Brooklyn card garica-morales and that was no ppv

granted it's a MUCH more even fight but idk if they have the fan bases to even fill out an arena

This fight won't happen. Arum is going to put Nonito in with Rigondeaux next and keep it in house, before he puts him in with Mares.

Golden Boy and Top Rank are not on good terms.

Abner Mares vs. Nonito Donaire would be HUGE! Mexican American vs. Filipino American, the two best guys in a unification, and Mares has a huge fan base.

Its also a style match up that will please the fans.

Mares actually is the draw in this fight, he brings more fans to stadiums, look how filled the STaples center was just for Mares, Nonito can't even fill up a small 7k seat stadium in Carson he only sold like 750 tickets.

I bet you Nonito thinks he deserves the lions share even though Mares is the real draw here.

Mares drew a lot at the staples center, i'd say about 5 or 6k according to what steve kim said. It'd depend on the undercard.
