I'm observing their physical ability... Gamboa kept Ponce off him with his foot movement and athleticism... He even used the shoulder roll

Broner tried the same tactic, but it simply didn't work

Gamboa is clearly the superior talent. He fought like Broner, and did a better job. And he's capable of fighting like Ponce, but simple better at everything...

I know this is technically a triangle theory, and styles make fights, and blah blah etc...

But watching that their fights, Gamboa was in control the entire time and wasn't that stylistically different from Broner... He's just more explosive with the offense, while simultaneously being more defensively responsible.

This fight basically comes down to who's more talented... Who's faster, who hits harder, and who can take the other's shots better. And I think Gamboa pretty much wins in all those categories...
Once again. Gamboa is 126lb fighter.

            Broner can barely make 135.

Stop trying to match Gamboa with fighters effectively 4 weight classes bigger than him.

Broner imo would knock Gamboa out. I just think that Gamboa is just physically too small for Broner. Triangle theories never work when it comes to boxing. Broner clearly beat PDL, and learned a lot in that fight. Gamboas chin is suspect imo too. I like Gamboa, but I need more.

Most objective fans will go for the almost consensus 115-113 Cotto card. It was no big beating but it was a clear, competitive win. I would say it was a close but clear 7 to 5 fight.
