When Cotto was a free man, he went ahead and secured the fight. The fight hinged upon the promotional status of Pacquiao. He extended his contract so it's safe to say that it will never happen. Bob would rather match 140lbs Brandon Rios with Manny Pacquiao and control the whole pot than to put Manny in with Floyd.
"pac can't train in the philippines"

"pac has to leave Bob Arum!"

    "154 or no fight!"

funny how it's becoming a reality

lol Pac has a dwindling fanbase, his ppvs have flopped, and he has NO title. Mayweather doesn't need him anymore.

Unifying with Canelo and being the man of the division at 154 tying pac for the record would mean more at this point.

You Pac fans need to do whatever you can to escape from that alternate universe where you live in a state of delusion. Bob Arum has already stated that he will pit Pacquaio against Brandon Rios next. Of course, that will only apply if Pac loses big or lucks out and KO's Marquez. If it is another close, controversial decision, you can look forward to seeing Pacquaio/Marquez V next June. Arum has no intention of putting Pacquaio in the ring wth Mayweather regardless of the outcome of this fight because as any boxing fan with any sense knows, Pacquaio has absolutely no control over his own career.
