    Verno Phillips Appreciation Thread

How about an Appreciation thread for Verno Phillips here?

We almost never hear about him. He's a 2x Champion, never ducked anyone, always put on an exciting fight whether it be Win or Lose. Look at the campaign in Argentina early in his career. Also knew when to retire.

Nice videos, Rob. He was a tough guy, still remember watching him for the first time against Kassim Ouma.

Thanks man. Yeah both those Kassim Ouma fights were wars. Love Verno vs. Julian Jackson too.

Absolutely, although he was on his way out when they fought. But Phillips was still a good fighter. People just rag on him because he caught PWill when he was on the slide and PWill was on the rise. It's unfortunate, but he definitely a good fighter.

Hell yeah he is Verno is awesome! I didn't expect this thread to blow up too big but I thought it'd atleast get SOME attention. In my opinion he's the true definition of an underrated fighter.
