baldomir is a tougher fight than margarito and cotto for sure.

Cotto had a chance to fight floyd at 140 and declined. Baldomir was the LINEAL CHAMPION when floyd fought him and was a bigger win than either cotto or margarito. Cotto wasnt big until he beat Shane in a close decision, Margo wasnt big until he beat Cotto. AFTER floyd already left Arum to make big boy money with DLH at 154.

Put it this way, Floyd beat DLH at 154, nobody is picking either Cotto or Margo to have been able to do that.

This thing about not working with Arum at any cost is an absolutely crap excuse. It will be a joint promotion so Floyd/Golden boy get their share and Manny/top Rank get theirs. The only thing Floyd has to do is fight and pick up his money.

I still think he could beat him at 160 and he should absolutely should do it for legacy but he doesnt seem interested in that. He would get the lineal middleweight title, that is huge.

Just like Ward should have taken on Dawson at 175 because he could be lineal at both 168 and 175 at the same time which would be awesome and he still would have beat dawson at 175 anyway. Dawson's punch resistance would have been better but he'd still get outboxed.

Oh it would be nice to just make the fight, but you see, Manny couldnt fight because he has a cut that magically heals faster only if he fights JMM and also we need to build some outdoor stadium, which was never talked about in previous negotiations, but unfortunately wont be ready until floyd is in jail.

As a fan, i think most of us wants fighters to capture our imagination, or atleast try do something that wasnt supposed to be possible, but reality kicks in politics and business make it impossible.
