The Philippines Bimbo Nacionales, who was not even ranked in the top 15 of the WBC's Asian Boxing Council light flyweight division, was destroyed by reigning champion and WBA No. 6 ranked Nethra Sasiprapa in Chonburi, Thailand, Tuesday.
Thai boxing writer Damrong Simakajornboon reported that Sasiprapa (33-2, 15 KO's) who twice fought for the WBA title but lost, dropped Nacionales in the opening round with a vicious body shot.
In what was an obvious mismatch, the Thai champion continued aggressively and ripped another body shot into Nacionales forcing referee Thanapat Suakaew to call a halt at 1:13 of the 2nd round.
