Joseph Parker will take a significant step in the advancement of his boxing career by signing a six-year deal with promoters David Higgins and Dean Lonergan this week.

Regarded as the next best thing in New Zealand boxing, Parker told a press conference in Auckland on Tuesday that he couldn't be happier with the arrangement he was about to start.

"Those two men [Higgins and Lonergan] know the business of boxing better than anyone and for them to make a long term commitment to me has given me a real boost," he said.

Good prospect this lad. And requires nurtaring correctly. IE at least 6-7 fights a year all over World. I'd like to see him as NZ champion next year & challenging for the Commonwealth belt within 3 years. Unfortunatlly I can see alphabet pacific titles soiling his record.
