According to The Desert Sun, undefeated welterweight prospect Shawn Porter (20-0, 14KOs) will face former champion Julio Diaz on the Amir Khan-Carlos Molina undercard on December 15th at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in California. Porter comes off a dominating decision win over Alfonso Gomez in July. Diaz (40-7, 29KOs) seems like he's been around forever, but the fighter is only 32-years-old. He won two in a row since suffering a vicious third round knockout loss to big puncher Kendall Holt in May of 2011. Diaz last fought on September 29th, stopping Hector Sanchez in five.

Diaz only weighed 142 for the Holt fight, and he got put in the trunk...Porter is a THICK young welter who's seemingly ready for the big time. Doesn't look good for the shopworn Diaz.

Diaz has had a couple tune-ups since then (at 147) and he looked good knocking out both of them. Given the styles of these 2, this is gonna be a war for how ever long it last's.

Julio Diaz is not going to test shawn porter, in all of julio diaz's major fights he checks out mentally - or physically ! so with that knowledge i am confident that he will check out or get checked out by the 4th or 5th
