Why was Cotto able to beat Margarito in the rematch?

It makes it easier for people to discredit Cotto, pretending that he too wasn't involved in just as many battles as Margarito.

This entire site was claiming that Margarito was going to force Cotto to a knee, even earlier in the rematch. Cotto pitches a 9-0 shutout, and the excuses and hate come roaring back.

Margarito was going to lose whether he had 1, 2 or 3 eyes. Cotto is just too technically superior to him, that was it.

Combination of things.

Mosley brutally knocked out Margarito. Marg was a big favorite in that fight, got embarrassed with the handwrap scandal and lost a lot of confidence.

Then Pacquiao put the finishing touches on him, smashing his eye up and hitting him like 500 times.

And finally, Cotto boxed well but I would have liked to see Cotto not go on his back foot so much and try to take Margarito out. But for some reason Cotto just couldn't really hurt Margarito, which makes me think Cotto doesn't have very good power at 154
