It's really awful if this fight goes ahead. Golovkin's management should turn it down and focus on defending their new WBA 160 lb title.

If no top 10 MW is available then by all means move to 168. I know Murray would be willing, but he's already tied down to a date. GGG gotta take whatever opportunity he can, doesn't have time to play the political game.

There are some middleweights who would fight GGG to be on HBO. For example Macklin wouldn't turn it down.

            Tommy Gun's rankings: WBC #6, WBA #11, IBF #4, Ring #3.

Seems like a risk worth taking.

It will derail Tommy's promising career.

True, I just wonder how he'll deal with the reach, height and weight disadvantage.
A fight like this definitely commands respect. Shoot, when press time rolls around, we'll see the difference in size

Mack isn't a WBA-ranked fighter. IDK how much that's figuring into Team GGG's decision to move up, but the move wouldn't make sense unless there was no other option. Tommy Gun is a Dibella fighter, so maybe Team GGG is figuring, "This could get us closer to Martinez". Dibella also promotes Macklin/Lee/Taylor @160 and Rodriguez @168. I do wish I knew exactly what their thought-process is.

I don't like it. Someone at 160 should step up.
